Saïd, was born and raised in Lomé, Togo, where his earliest experiences, languages, and cultural foundations were formed. His deep connection to the people and traditions of his homeland has shaped his identity from childhood. Even as life carried him far beyond Togo’s borders, part of his heart remained connected to his mother country—a connection that would one day become essential to the mission of Jehovah Jireh Mission Empowered (JJME).

In 2012, Saïd relocated to the United States through the Diversity Visa Program, a step that expanded not only his opportunities but also his sense of purpose. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a minor in statistics, laying the academic foundation for his career as a U.S. Navy meteorology and oceanography officer. Despite the distance and the demands of military service, the pull toward Togo—the people, the culture, the children—never faded.

That enduring love for his birthplace became a catalyst for the formation of JJME. As Vice Chair, Saïd uniquely bridges the world he now serves in professionally and the world that shaped him. His leadership is grounded in humility, faith, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves access to food, education, safety, and the opportunity to flourish.

Fluent in multiple languages and local dialects, Saïd offers something that cannot be replicated or rushed: authentic cultural fluency and deep relational credibility. His lived understanding of Togolese customs, communication styles, and community dynamics has opened doors for JJME that would otherwise have remained closed. This is no small thing: JJME has been welcomed, trusted, and embraced in Togo because of Saïd’s connection to his homeland and the respect he holds there.

Alongside his nonprofit work, Saïd is pursuing a master’s degree in Meteorology and Oceanography at the Naval Postgraduate School. He also holds a Certificate in Data Science from the same institution, reflecting his commitment to continual growth and excellence—both in service to his country and in service to the children of Togo.

From Lomé to the United States—and back again through calling, compassion, and mission—Saïd’s life demonstrates a powerful truth: God prepares and positions His people with intentionality. Through his steadfast dedication, JJME is able to serve the children of Togo with respect, understanding, and lasting impact..
